Native to Asia Minor, the Mediterranean cypress is a tree belonging to the Cupressaceae family. The plant has been acclimated throughout the Northern Hemisphere, and more specifically around the Mediterranean Basin.

This extract, which we call a “By-Absolute,” is obtained from the solvent extraction of the spent twigs and branches after the distillation of the essential oil of cypress. The concrete thus obtained is then treated and processed as an absolute. The extraction is carried out at our production unit in Valréas in southern France and the absolute is processed at our main factory, also in France.
