Our selection of natural extracts for perfumery and cosmetics

During these two days, we will highlight 3 exclusive Biolandes extracts.

Pop-corn extract

In partnership with a local company based in the south-west of France, we propose this unique natural extract, created by our perfumer.

It is also included in our upcycling range by its sourcing and production process.

We treat gaps of corn grains, which are valorized in extract on our site of Le Sen.

In perfumery, pop-corn extract brings soft sweet notes which evolve towards an addictive buttered dominant, which really points out the popcorn.

Its finish remains soft, warm, evoking a very tenacious cereal scent, a reference to the original raw material.

It becomes a great ingredient to associate with floral notes, woody or musk.

Rosa Damascena hydrolate Leucidal®

Rosa damascena is the most widely used rose variety in perfumery.

The main rose producing countries are Turkey, Bulgaria and Morocco.

The bushes bloom once a year, from May to June.

The flowers are picked by hand, then distilled or extracted within 24 hours.

One hectare (2.5 acres) of land can produce 3.5 to 5 tons of blossoms, yielding about 1 kg of essential oil.

We have our own rose fields and production units in Bulgaria, as well as a dedicated unit in Turkey.

We also produce rose concrete in Morocco.

It is used in products for sensitive skin, dry skin, mature skin and damaged skin.

What is a Leucidal® hydrolate?

First of all, an hydrolate is obtained by steam distillation.

It has a low pH and a delicately scented odor which makes it a very popular ingredient in cosmetics.

It can be used both pure (spray, friction) and mixed in the aqueous phase of preparations.

Leudical® is a preservative and a multifunctional antimicrobial ingredient of natural origin.

We have chosen to integrate it in the preparation of our hydrolates for its role of preservation.

In fact, its use allows us to offer a range of hydrolates with the same minimum durability date as preserved hydrolates, 2 years.

It is a particularly relevant alternative to the synthetic preservatives used in cosmetics, for our customers who are looking for floral waters of 100% natural origin.

Vetiver By-Absolute

The vetiver plant is truly remarkable for the properties of its roots.

Their capacity for soil retention is utterly unique and they also contain an essential oil with an extraordinary, inimitable scent.

Vetiver grows in many regions of the world, especially in warm climates and light soils.

The plant must stay in the ground for 10 to 14 months before the roots develop their potential to produce essential oil.

We cultivate and distill organic vetiver at our farm in Madagascar, near Ambanja.

This extract of our upcycling range “by-absolute” is manufactured in France after reception of the post-distilled roots residues, according to the historical production process of our by-products.

Our vetiver by-absolute brings woody, smoky and very powerful and tenacious acrid notes.

Its syrupy start is reminiscent of caramel, then the woody vetiver note is found in a smoky/mineral version.

This new resource also completes our olfactory palette of roasted woods.

Ideal for the creation of oriental accords in search of an exceptional signature.
