Description
Cistus labdanum is a shrub that grows wild in many parts of the Mediterranean Basin. The plant is remarkable for the gum that it secretes in the summer to protect itself from the intense heat. Today cistus is harvested mainly in southern Spain. The leaves and branches are either distilled or extracted to produce cistus extracts.

Today cistus is harvested mainly in southern Spain. The leaves and branches are either distilled or extracted to produce cistus extracts.
The resulting raw extract is then shipped to our factory in France, where an exclusive process has been developed to manufacture this unique “hydrocarboresin.”
