NOP

NOP is a federal regulatory program that develops and enforces consistent national standards for organically produced agricultural products sold in the United States. It also gives accreditation to third-party organizations that certify that a given farming or business operation complies with national organic standards. These certifying organizations work with the USDA to enforce compliance with the standards, thus guaranteeing conditions of fair competition for producers while protecting consumer confidence in the integrity of the USDA organic seal.
