YUZU
Description
Native to China and Tibet as a wild plant and introduced to Japan and Korea between the 6th and 8th centuries, yuzu is a hybrid citrus of the Rutaceae family, a cross between mandarin and Ichang papeda. The fruit can be harvested green, for its zest and flavor, or fully ripe, when it turns yellow, for its zest and juice.
