Nome botânico:
Cedrus atlantica
Parte utilizada:
The Atlas Cedar is a species of tree native to Morocco and Algeria. The Moroccan cedar forest covers nearly 130,000 hectares in the Rif and Atlas mountain ranges at altitudes of 1,600 to 2,000 meters. The trees, some of which are a thousand years old, can grow to heights of over 40 meters.
Logging operations are allowed in this natural forest, in particular for the production of timber. Our essential oil of Moroccan cedar is obtained from the distillation of sawdust, a byproduct of the timber industry.
