Acacia decurrens is a highly fragrant species of Mimosa native to Australia that has been cultivated in many regions of the world for the tannin contained in its bark.
This fast-growing tree blossoms at the end of winter with bunches of spectacular pale yellow flowers.
It was introduced to southern France a century ago and used to produce concrete. Today the main Mimosa extract producing countries are India and Morocco.

Biolandes has developed its own Mimosa crops at its farm in Khemisset, Morocco.
Mimosa is harvested by hand, by cutting off the flowering tops. Extraction is carried out immediately on site to produce a concrete, from which an absolute is derived in France.
Biolandes' Mimosa is certified organic and we have developed a specific organic Mimosa extract (Ecocert EC / NOP).
