Description
Wild oregano is a perennial plant of the Lamiaceae family. Native to the Mediterranean Basin, it grows naturally only in southern Spain and northern Morocco, where it can be found on rocky hillsides. Due to overharvesting, the species is severely endangered in its native regions.
