Description
Native to Southeast Asia, primarily China and Vietnam, the mandarin is a tree of the Rutaceae family. It produces the fruit commonly called mandarin. It is cultivated in many countries, mainly in Spain, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco and the United States. As with most citrus fruits, essential oil of mandarin is obtained from the zest by mechanical extraction.
