Description

The chestnut tree, a member of the Fagaceae family, bears edible fruits called chestnuts. It grows in Europe and the temperate zones of Asia and Africa, as well as in North America, and can reach a height of 30 meters at maturity. Its buds are also harvested to be used in macerates for cosmetics, gemmotherapy and homeopathy.
