Millot Aromatiques Bio (MAB) is located in Ambanja in the Sambirano River Valley, near our other Madagascan farm. The region’s tropical climate is suited to the growing of numerous spices and aromatic plants.

CROPS AND PRODUCTION

Our numerous stills on site allow us to produce essential oils using raw materials derived from plants that we grow ourselves on our 180-hectare (445-acre) farm or that we gather in the surrounding area.

Ylang-ylang is the main crop grown on the MAB farm today, occupying more than 100 hectares (250 acres). It is supplemented by numerous other plant products, all the result of organic farming and Fair For Life certified production methods, including vetiver, Ceylon citronella, palmarosa, patchouli, black pepper and ravintsara (camphor).

Our operations mobilize a team of 40 permanent employees. Organized in an association, they benefit from operations implemented through a Fair For Life development fund allocated to them.
