Biolandes Le Sen

START DATE: 1980

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: LE SEN, THE LANDES REGION, FRANCE

Biolandes’ head office is located in the Landes region of southwestern France, in the town of Le Sen, at the heart of Europe’s largest planted forest. Its location is closely linked to the history and values of the company, which began its development as a specialist in products derived from a plant emblematic of its terroir: maritime pine.

GROUP HQ, MAIN PRODUCTION SITE, R&D, QUALITY CONTROL…

Originally built to house the first continuous distillation units, the site has been expanding ever since, keeping pace with the evolution of its operations. The technical and industrial tool, spread out over more than 35 hectares (86 acres), is now one of the industry’s leaders in terms of size and quality.

The site is equipped with a biomass boiler fueled by green wastes, largely from our own production operations.

In addition, the presence on site of Biolandes Pin Décor, a company specializing in the production and sale of natural mulch and compost, strengthens the positive synergies linked to the recycling of the plant-derived materials processed directly at the site. This collaboration dates back to the company’s founding in 1980.

A genuine nerve center for Biolandes’ operations throughout the world, the office in Le Sen now unites nearly 200 employees in charge of production, analysis, development, logistics, purchasing and sales.
