Biolandes offers an Ecocert certified (EC) organic essential oil of Lavender Maillette derived from plants cultivated near our distillation factory in Valréas
Since the nineteen-fifties the planting of Lavender has spread to many other countries, and the origins now available span the globe from Ukraine to Australia and even Brazil!
After France, the main producers are Ukraine, China and, in particular, Bulgaria. The Lavender fields of Bulgaria are located in the eastern-central part of the country, starting where the rose plantations stop and extending all the way to the Black Sea. Bulgaria has been a major producer of essential oil of Lavender for 50 years, with yields of 40 to 60 tons depending on the year.
Biolandes has developed its own Lavender growing operations in Bulgaria, between Kazanlak and Zimnitza, where the group's factory is located
. Forty hectares of organic Lavender fields provide the raw material for a certified organic (EC / NOP) essential oil, distilled on site. During the production period we also purchase harvested Lavender flowers from certified organic cooperatives.
With its essential oils of organic Lavender of two distinct geographic origins, Biolandes offers its clients an especially interesting olfactory choice.
