The tuberose is a white flower originally from Mexico that has traveled around the world since the 18th century. When it arrived in Grasse it became one of the perfume plants cultivated and processed locally by enfleurage and then by extraction.
Today, India is the main producer of Tuberose concrete.
The flower is cultivated in the Mysore region, and mostly in Tamil Nadu.
Annual concrete production totals less than one ton.
