Although it originated in Persia, the Cypress plant is also a common sight in Mediterranean landscapes.
In Morocco, Cypress is often grown in hedges to protect cropland. The hedges are periodically pruned, providing a raw material that is transformed into an essential oil by Biolandes Maroc.
