• A team of 7 people is in charge of QC equipped with state of the art analytical technologies : GC / GCMS / HPLC.

 

• 4 persons are handling regulatory issues, guaranteeing that our products are in conformity with constantly evolving international regulations.

In just a few years, BIOLANDES production sites have earned major international quality certifications and this effort continues:

• ISO 9001:2000 Certification for all activities

 

• GMP Certification (Good Manufacturing Practices) for our active extracts workshops

 

• Organic Certification (Ecocert) for all sites (regulations EC n°834/2007 and USDA NOP Final Rule 7 CFR part 205)

 

• ISO 22000:2005 Certification for the manufacturing of its essential oils and natural extracts intended for the flavours

 

• Fair trade certification for the production of essential oil of organically-grown Madagascan vetiver in compliance with the EFT (Ecocert fair trade) schedule of conditions

 

• Biomass or wood is used as a source of energy on several sites:

  In Le Sen, the steam necessary for the workshops is entirely produced by sawdust and bark.

  In Andalousia again, the steam is also produced from the by-products of distillation of Cistus and Eucalyptus.

  In Madagascar, Ylang-ylang from our farm is distilled with collected wood.

• Adding value to the by-products of distillation and extraction:

 

In Le Sen, all the wastes of extraction are converted into compost and organic fertilizers by BIOLANDES PIN DECOR.

• All wastewaters are channeled through an ecological recycling plant (Le Sen) or an innovative process involving the plantation of bamboos (Valréas).
